Trade Globalization Adjustment Assistance Act (TGAAA)
The Trade Globalization Adjustment Assistance Act (TGAAA) program provides services, including training scholarships, to dislocated workers who have been found to be adversely impacted by increased
imports or by a shift of production to another country. Layoffs occur for a variety of reasons, but
if you believe your layoff was a direct result of foreign industries, then you
may qualify for this program.
The benefits you may be eligible for under this program are:
- Extended Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits
- Job Training Assistance
- Relocation Assistance
- Health Coverage Tax Credit
- RTAA Wage Subsidy (must be 50+ years old)
