To Apply for WIA Services
Thank you for your interest in the Workforce Network's consideration for scholarship assistance.

The application process for scholarship assistance is currently closed.  The application will re-open on September 13, 2010 and close on December 15, 2010.  Applications will be considered to provide scholarship assistance for the Spring 2011 semester.  Applications after December 15, 2010 will not be accepted.  Not all applications will be selected for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) scholarship assistance. We will notify you by December 31, 2010 if you have been selected to receive scholarship assistance.

You must apply for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) scholarship assistance online.  You can access our online application at http://wfnsite.com.  You must have a valid email address to complete the application.  You can create an email on yahoo.com, hotmail.com or other free online email sites.  To start, click the "Register Now" on the right hand side of the screen.

All applications submitted online will be considered for scholarship assistance for one year.  Individuals who applied for scholarship assistance after May 2010 will be considered the Spring 2011 semester.  Individuals should make sure their information online is current and up to date.

If you need assistance in completing the application, please feel free to utilize the Career Resource Center and staff will be available to help.  If you have further questions, please call (309) 495-8908.

We encourage you to explore alternative scholarships and opportunities.  Please contact the school or training provider you are interested in for further information about grants, scholarships, loans or other opportunities.

One way to learn about these various opportunities is to go to www.illinoisworkNet.com.  Once on Illinois workNet, click on Education, the click on Financial Aid/Scholarships.  We wish you success and encourage you to continue in your academic and professional pursuits.
